Major League Soccer has announced this morning that Toronto will open up the 2015 regular season at BC Place vs. the Vancouver Whitecaps FC on March 7th.
The match time is set for 6:00 pm EST and will be broadcasted on TSN.
Last season, TFC drew Vancouver 1-1 in the only MLS regular season match against the Whitecaps. They also defeated Vancouver in the semifinals of the Canadian Championship on penalties after they finished level with the Whitecaps after 210 minutes. The score stood at 3-3 heading into penalties in which the Reds ended up winning 5-3.
Vancouver finished last season in 5th place in the Western Conference with 50 points and ended up losing in the first round of the MLS Playoffs to FC Dallas by a score of 2-1.
